The US leveraged loan market has seen launches totaling $19.13b through Wednesday June 10, following $22.85b of deal flow last week. The market has regained steam following a sharp slowdown in issuance earlier in the year, as volatility kept most dealmakers sidelined. Issuance in May totaled $104.9b, which was the busiest month since January’s $150.4b.

The week kicked off with 15 launches for $13.22b, including the $3.3b financing for Colossus AcquireCo to extend the maturity of existing debt and pay a dividend, and a $1.24b loan package supporting Apollo’s acquisition of Emerald Holding.

Loan prices have slipped from their recent high of 95.72 on May 14 to 95.45 on May 9, according to the Bloomberg U.S. Leveraged Loan Index (Ticker: LOAN).
