Rising investor interest in special situations and distressed debt

An increasing proportion of investors surveyed by Preqin say special situations and distressed present the best opportunities in private debt. According to Preqin’s latest Investor Outlook survey, 64% of investors believe that special situations present the best investment opportunity in private debt, up from 38% a year ago, while 49% believe distressed debt presents the best opportunities, up from 33% a year ago.
