Across alternatives assets, the proportion of female employees rose to 20.3% by the end of 2020, compared to 19.7% in November 2019. In private debt, women account for just under a fifth (19.9%) of all employees at private debt firms. Female representation in junior positions in the private debt industry is significantly higher than for mid-level (22%) and senior (10.9%) positions. From senior roles, female representation is higher in CFO and Executive Director positions, with 20% and 19.6% respectively. Regionally, Europe is where women representation is higher – over a fifth of private debt employees in Europe are female.
