North American PD deal value rebounds to pre-pandemic levels
North America has seen 352 deals in private debt with an aggregate deal value of $71.2bn so far in 2021. Although this is just under half of the 766 deals that were completed in 2020, last year’s aggregate deal value was just $78.5bn, despite a strong last quarter. As lockdowns lift and mega deals continue, this year’s deal value is well underway to beating the totals seen before the pandemic.
